I grew up in Wairoa. I live in Porirua now.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When not working I like to just rest up.
How would your family and friends describe you?
They would say I am a “no filter” girl lol.
Where would you like to go on vacation if you had a month off and money was no object?
I would go to Egypt.
Who inspires you?
My husband as he drives me to do the work and follow my dreams.
Where’s your favourite place in the world?
Aotearoa, as this is my Whenua and it is where my elders are buried, where my Marae and where my standing place/kinship/whakapapa is.
Which four individuals, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with most?
I would choose my whanau that have passed on … my nannies, my Sister, my Brothers.
Choose a movie title for the story of your life.
It would be “Kahungunu Hard”.
SOUNZ thanks the New Zealand Music Commission for supporting this role as part of its music intern programme.
